I have tried to contact both the supposed publisher and Goodreads about the two Janie and Tom books. Neither ever replied to my detailed contact message. I chose to go on forward to the next step, a Better Business Bureau Complaint, with Goodreads first. Goodreads' reply regretfully proves what I was thinking. They are not to be trusted. To quote from their reply ..... "To clarify, Goodreads is a book review and recommendation site — we don't sell or distribute books. The listings on our platform are not the books themselves, and exist so our members can track what they've read or want to read." Further disturbing comment..."Goodreads is not in a position to verify or provide documentation of a book's physical existence or publication history." Wow! I have no proof that they are, but to me it sounds like they are "data collectors" meaning anything you type in on the site, any personal info, "tracer cookies" are used, etc and data is collected and they do as they please with such data. Which is not a good thing! I highly recommend to any and all to stay away from this site!! It takes quite a bit of time, but I will now zero in on why the supposed publisher never responded!
